Semaine de la Francophonie
May 25-29
We had a great week learning about francophone culture. We started off with an assembly hosted by none other than Mme. Hortense our “Queen” and saw which countries in the world speak French. Students challenged the teachers to a tug of war. We tried some tasty crêpes françaises, which we loved. Mme. Melanie taught us all zumba to some francophone songs. Students colored Franco-Albertain flags and went around the school for “Tintamarre” parade making lots of noise to celebrate. Students then enjoyed Friday being outdoors and participating in many different activities such as high jump, potatoes sack race, bouncy ball race, sponges and water race, bowling and many other fun activities!
