Our Kamp Kiwanis experience…
The grade 5/6 students attended Kamp Kiwanis. It proved to be a rich and unique experience for students, teachers and volunteers.
Our outdoor education learning involved activities, games and discussions around our ecosystems and how our interactions with nature impact animals and other living things.
There were numerous curricular links to Science, Physical Education and Health.
* Trees and Forests * Wetlands * Weather * Sky Science
These connections augmented our previous work in class and fostered student engagement.
